Course Description

Length: 3 days
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Cost: $2,750.00/person

This 3-day, instructor-led training class introduces essential motion control techniques using Siemens S210 drives and S7-1500T PLCs.

Through hands-on instruction, students will gain practical experience in commissioning drives, configuring motion profiles, and implementing advanced motion functions.

All equipment is provided.

Would you like this class taught at your facility? Just ask.

Prerequisites

Prior experience with Siemens PLC programming and basic understanding of TIA Portal is recommended.

Objective

Upon completion of this course, each student shall be able to:

  • Commission S210 drive systems
  • Integrate S210 drives with S7-1500T PLC
  • Program absolute and relative motion for independent axes
  • Implement superimposed axis motion
  • Perform homing using physical I/O and encoder values
  • Execute synchronous axis positioning
  • Set up gearing using numerator/denominator values, velocity-triggered gearing, and position-triggered gearing
  • Configure camming with scaling and with cam profile
