Virtual Workshop & Hands-On Lab Details
The PLCSIM virtual workshop is an instructor-led online class that will provide an introduction
to the Simulation Tools that are included within TIA Portal Software by Siemens.
Discover how PLCSIM and WinCC Runtime Simulation Tools can be used to simulate both PLC and HMI
components, providing you with the opportunity to validate a design on virtual hardware,
when you don’t have access to physical hardware!
Prerequisites
All attendees must have prior experience with TIA Portal before taking this course.
What You'll Learn
During this 3-hour hands-on virtual workshop, learn how to:
- Develop a program in TIA Portal and test it using simulation functions.
- Simulate a Siemens PLC using PLCSIM.
- Use Sim Tables and Sequences to simulate input states.
- Simulate Comfort Panels using WinCC Runtime Advanced.
Equipment Recommendations
Software will be provided via Skytap. However to improve your virtual experience, it's
suggested that you also have a webcam and two monitors.
Please note that these items are not required but highly recommended!
